Description

This field contains a code which defines the legal status of all formally and informally detained patients at the date of the census. An informally detained patient is one who is not formally detained, but has been in hospital for a year or more in the care of a consultant in the psychiatric specialties.

It is only for unfinished records of of episode type 4.

The Legal status classification (leglstat) field contains sensitive data. Access to it requires the approval of the Security and Confidentiality Advisory Group (SCAG).
