The Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) is a measure of multiple deprivation at Super Output Area level. The IMD has seven domains, one of which is the Barriers to Housing and Services Domain.

The purpose of the Barriers to Housing and Services domain is to measure barriers to housing and key local services. This version of the Index was first published in 2004. See The English Indices of Deprivation 2004: Summary (revised) for further details.
