For 2012-13 and beyond a new charging model is being implemented which more accurately reflects the costs for providing the extract service. These charges will mean lower prices for some requests but higher prices for others with an emphasis on any customers requiring greater information governance support paying for that service. These new charges come into effect immediately for all new applications received.
Tabulations and extracts cost the same and that cost is determined by the amount of data requested, the IG approvals required and the delivery method. The elements that make up the total cost are given below so you will be able to calculate the expected cost prior to making your application.
Fee Component | Cost |
---|---|
Application fee | 480 |
Per dataset | 320 |
Per year per dataset | 54 |
Examples:
Additional fees that may be charged per request are:
Fee Component | Cost |
---|---|
ONS data requested | 280 |
DAAG approval required | 280 |
Identifiable data requested | 140 |
PbR data requested | 250 |
Amendment fee1 | 150 |
DVD production & delivery2 | 300 |
Complex request fee3 | bespoke |
1 - An amendment will only be allowed where the request is made within 1 month of receiving your data. In those cases the amendment fee will replace the application fee but all other fee components will apply. An amendment fee may be charged if requirements are altered after the production of the extract or tabulation has begun.
2 - It is assumed that from September 2012 all extracts and tabulations will be delivered electronically. Therefore the base fees exclude DVD production and delivery and assume that all requests will include electronic delivery using our free-to-use file transfer program. This charge will come into effect on 3rd September 2012.
3 - We reserve the right to charge additional fees if a request is particularly complex i.e. internal HES linkages, complex filters or reformatting data. Any additional fee will be agreed in advance with the applicant and will be charged at corporate charge out rates. It is expected that this will affect very few customers.
All figures are excluding VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate.
