Trends in hysterectomies

This study examines HES statistics from 1989-90 to 2002-03 to identify the number of hysterectomies performed each year on patients aged 20 to 60 years who were diagnosed with menorrhagia.

The study found there had been a substantial fall in the number of hysterectomies being performed on such patients.
