The size, richness and complexity of HES provides considerable analytical flexibility. The data can be used on its own or in conjunction with other data sources, which in turn extends the range and variety of the information that can be produced.
This area highlights research and work conducted using HES data. Publication of articles in this area does not necessarily mean that The NHS Information Centre supports their findings, or the methodologies/approaches that have been used. Any questions arising from the reported analysis should be directed towards the authors in the first instance.
Have you used HES data for your research?
